About Us

What is Mewbyt?

In one line: a plain-English guide site focused on Binance, written for beginners. Opening an account, identity verification, buying and selling crypto, trading fees, account security, all the things a newcomer cannot avoid when using Binance. We write each one up as a guide you can follow step by step, along with a handful of calculators that actually work.

Why we started is plain enough. When we first got into crypto, decent hands-on guides in our own language were thin on the ground: some out of date, others padded with an agenda. After paying our own share of tuition to the market, we figured we might as well write down what we had worked out and save the next person some of the cost.

Who writes this?

Articles here are signed Yizhou Xu. Let us be upfront: that is a pen name, not a real one. We are a few ordinary users who came into crypto around 2021, paid our tuition, and slowly found our footing. We are not licensed financial advisors, and we have no interest in claiming any title. What you read here is hands-on experience plus tidied-up public information, not professional investment advice. The pen name is there because we would rather keep our crypto identity apart from our everyday lives, which is common in this space, but we think readers deserve to know.

How is the content made?

Three rules. First, we walk every flow ourselves before writing it up: for how-to guides like signing up, verification, P2P, and withdrawals, we run through the steps on our own accounts first, so what you read is where we actually got stuck and where things dragged. Second, we do not make data up: figures like fee rates, limits, and processing times change on the platform, so we give ranges and note "as shown on Binance's page", rather than quoting an exact number we have not checked. Third, we put the risks up front: crypto swings hard, we promise no returns, and for higher-risk topics like futures we talk people out of it more than once.

Even so, content can still be wrong or go out of date. If you spot an error, write to us, and once we have confirmed it we will fix it and log it on the Corrections page.

What is our relationship with Binance?

There is no affiliation. This is an independent third-party site, not Binance or anyone connected to it. The sign-up links here carry our referral code, so when you register through them we earn a commission from Binance's referral program and you get a fee discount. That is the main way the site pays for itself, and the full explanation is in the Affiliate Disclosure. The commission does not change how we write: the risks that need flagging still get flagged, and the drawbacks that need saying still get said.
