The short version: this site has no account system, no comment section, and no ad-network code. We use Google Analytics 4 and the CDN's own page-view count to see visits in aggregate (details below), and we collect nothing like your name or email that would identify you directly. Here is the long version.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask you to sign up or log in, and we do not collect your name, email, or phone number;
- We run no ads and install no advertising trackers;
- The calculators here (fees, liquidation price, DCA, position size) do all their work in your browser and send nothing to any server.
Requests made when you visit
There are five kinds of third-party request or record, all of them part of the site working normally:
- Server and CDN logs: the hosting server and the CDN in front of it (Cloudflare) keep standard access logs (IP address, time, request path, browser string) for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. We do not use them to identify anyone.
- Google Analytics 4: every page loads Google's analytics tag (from www.googletagmanager.com), which shows us how many visits there were, where they came from, which pages were read and for how long, and rough country and device type. It sets Google's first-party cookies in your browser (the ones whose names start with _ga) to tell new visitors from returning ones, kept for two years by default; according to Google, Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. We see aggregate reports, not who an individual visitor is, and the data is processed by Google under Google's own privacy policy. If you would rather not be counted, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com with a content blocker; the rest of the site keeps working. Numbers you type into the calculators are not sent to it. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, Turkey or Serbia, Google Analytics starts in a denied state and sets no analytics cookies; Google only receives cookieless pings that carry no visitor ID. Everywhere else it runs as described above. The region is worked out from where your connection comes from, not from the page language. There is no consent pop-up. To turn off statistics on this site only, use the button below: after that, when you open the site in this browser, Google Analytics writes no cookies and sends no visit records. The choice is saved only in this browser on this device; if you switch browser or device, or clear this site's data, press it again.
- Page-view counting: the site sits behind Cloudflare, which adds a small measurement script of its own (loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com) as it delivers each page. It records which pages were opened, rough country and device type, and how long pages took to load. We only see the totals, never who an individual visitor is, and according to Cloudflare's public description of the service it does not use cookies. Numbers you type into the calculators never pass through it, because those calculations run entirely in your browser. If you would rather not be counted, any content blocker that blocks static.cloudflareinsights.com will do it, and the rest of the site keeps working.
- Fonts: pages load font files from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
- Market data: only the Price Converter page makes a request, and only when you tap the lookup button, at which point your browser fetches price data once from Binance's public market-data API (data-api.binance.vision). No tap, no request.
Cookies
Google Analytics 4 sets the statistics cookies starting with _ga described above; apart from that, nothing on the site sets cookies. Cloudflare may set a technical cookie of its own for bot protection and security, which is outside our control.
